Immerse yourself in the language and culture of Mexico. Take group lessons or private sessions with a teacher in the morning, then explore the surroundings of our Spanish school in Mexico City, in one of the most beautiful and nicest areas in town: Condesa – Roma
Join our conversation sessions, tasting artisanal Mexican and International beer on Thursday evening. On Friday take our Free Walking Tour of the city and get practical information on where to eat, from vegan to Author Mexican Cuisine; night life, shopping and art galleries, all directly from a local expert.
During your break, enjoy a great espresso made with a professional Italian coffee machine, and mingle around other students and teachers. Practice your conversation skill, learn from others, meet new people and organize an outing over the weekend, either with L&C or with your new friends.
Combining several of the strongest Language Acquisition Theories, such as Learning by Doing, from John Dewey, Constructivism by Lev Vygotsky, and Structured Input/output by Lee Van Patten, we have created a set of techniques and tactics that will address each student´s learning style and will help you overcome the different challenges you might face through your learning process. We understand that every learner is different, due to their life background; therefore, we take into consideration the findings by Stephen Krashen, which address intellectual and emotional drawbacks experienced by learners throughout their language acquisition process. A team of language professionals will assess your current level of skill, ability and style of learning and will help you reach your communication goals in a short time, giving you a great sense of achievement.
We make sure your learning is effective and fun. Feel comfortable and at ease here at L&C Spanish School; become conversational through learning games and activities, rather than just from a book. Feel free to make mistakes and ask questions, this is a natural part of the process and it is completely acceptable to do so.
Whether it is to communicate with relatives of your partner in their mother tongue, to work in a foreign country or simply to travel while speaking the language of the country, we have a course adapted for you. From a few lessons in your busy week’s schedule to intensive courses, a total immersion program; group lessons for individuals, online or directly in our school, in a café or at your workplace or even at home. Great artists, writers, and celebrities visit us every year to improve their Spanish with L&C teachers. A few to mention are Nick Jones (Orange is the New Black), Robyn Ward, etc.
Cultural conditions and social rules (rules of politeness, the way of addressing others which differs according to generations, sex, classes and social groups), sociolinguistic rules affect communication in all languages between representatives of different cultures even if the learners are not necessarily aware of it.
Other cultural knowledge concerning to day-to-day living (organization of the day, mealtimes, means of transport, communication and information), is essential for the management of language skills in a foreign language.
As well as knowledge of the shared values and beliefs held by social groups in other countries and regions, such as religious beliefs, taboos, assumed common history are essential to intercultural communication. These multiple areas of knowledge vary from individual to individual. They may be culture-specific, but nevertheless are interwoven into all our courses here at L&C Spanish School.
